BOY!!!!

                                  20 weeks...halfway there!

 

Our little Spawner is a boy! A HEALTHY boy! As much as we thought he was going to be a boy, it was still shocking (to me). I even made the tech repeat herself! I guess somewhere deep subconsciously I was expecting it was a girl? I'm not sure! But I already am in love with my little guy, and I can't wait to meet him, see his little face, experience his personality...just be his mommy. Dave obviously is on cloud 9 as well! This is his son....his FISHING BUDDY! I get pretty emotional when I think about the bond they'll have, and how much I feel like Dave deserves to have this happiness. After all we've went though, this whole situation couldn't be better. I am so thankful for an easy pregnancy (knock on wood), and a healthy baby. This whole experience has been the best experience of my life, as corny as it might sound...I can't help it! I'm an emotional, happy pregnant sap.




How far along are you: 20 weeks! Half baked!!
Size of baby: Banana!
Movement: Yes. At least I have no other explanation for some of the weird things I'm feeling my stomach. I think this little boy has a spunky, hyper side! He also seems to love sweet things, big meals, and hates when I sit down.
Symptoms: Heartburn started up a little while I was on vacation, but since then it's been gone. Thankfully, too, because it was quite extreme.
Total weight gain: 6lbs.
Sleep: Not too shabby really.
Food aversions: Nothing! I'm a lover of all foods.
Cravings: Salty things. I'm not picky.
Emotions: HAPPY mama here! But I'm also extra emotional. I've had a few different crying-fests. Not exactly because I've been sad, but because it's almost like I don't know how to contain emotion anymore. LOL.
What do you miss: REAL sushi, REAL coffee, COLD cuts, RARE steak.
Maternity clothes: Yes.
Wedding rings on or off: On.
Boy or girl: BOY!! I can finally answer this properly!! I can't believe it!
Next appt: July 30, boring ol' midwife appointment.
Best moment(s) this past week: Finding out Spawner is a boy and announcing to our parents with our cute little cupcakes with blue in the middle.
What are you looking forward to this week: Going to Vegas on Sunday with my mama!!
