*~^**8 WEEKS**^~*

Okay, so we made it! 8 weeks! With my last pregnancy I got to 7 weeks, 6 days before I miscarried. So, this is a whole new territory. As happy as I am to pass this milestone, tomorrow is our first ultrasound so I won't be able to allow myself to totally relax until we see that the baby is okay. I honestly don't think Dave and I have ever been so nervous/anxious/excited about ANYTHING in our relationship. Tomorrow is huge for us.

So, Spawner is now growing little webbed fingers and toes from his/her little pads (hands/feet). Spawner's digestive system is starting to take shape and his/her little tail is almost completely gone and made it's way into just a tailbone. A little nose is forming, too!

How far along: 8 weeks!! HALLELUJAH!

Size of baby: a raspberry!

Total weight gain: 4 lbs. I am not impressed.

Sleep: Ohhh...sleep is SO good. I wish I could sleep all day and night! :)

Best moment(s) of the past week: Dave and I went away for our first wedding anniversary to Niagara Falls. It was so nice to get away, even if it was just an hour away. It felt like a full-on mini-vacation. We needed it.

Symptoms: Fatigue and nausea. Nausea comes on when I get hungry...even a LITTLE hunger will make me feel like I have one major hangover. It's horrible. I usually feel pretty horrible when I first get out of bed in the morning, and I think that's because I am hungry from the night before. Anyone who knows me knows that I usually JUMP out of bed without a second thought. I'm not a "snoozer", so for me to go back and lay in bed after I get ready every morning is crazy. I guess that's why they call it morning sickness. ;) No vomiting though.

Food aversions: Pizza still. Ugh. The thought of it makes me gag.

Cravings:  My cravings change constantly, which makes me think they aren't real pregnancy cravings.

Maternity clothes: Nope, but man, with this weight gain, it won't be long.

Movement: Nope.

Boy or girl: No idea!

Wedding rings on or off:  On

What do you miss: Coffee fraps! While we were in Niagara Falls we had one in the lobby of our hotel and it was torture!

What are you looking forward to: The ultrasound tomorrow. I can't even think past it. It will be such a huge day no matter what happens.

Emotions: I've been happy, indifferent, patient.

Next appt: Ultrasound tomorrow and midwife appt on April 29. I had my first midwife appt yesterday but I didn't meet the midwife that will be taking care of me because of a mix up there.

Plans for the week: Like I said a million times...ULTRASOUND! It's all I can think about.
