This week Spawner can sense light. If I was to shine a flashlight on my belly, he'd probably move away from the light. He measures about 10 cm (4in) and is about 2.5 ounces. I'm happy to know that the size of his body should by now be bigger than the size of his head, but since he's Dave's child, we can't be so sure. ;)
Apparently there are some crazy acrobatics going on in my belly, but I can't yet feel anything. I'm still waiting for the little flutter/popping feeling. I felt a few of something today, but I chalked it up to my lunch digesting. Who knows though. I'll pay more attention in the next little while. I can't wait to feel it.
Size of baby: Navel orange/apple
Movement: Yes, I just can't feel it yet. Soon though! :)
Symptoms: My fatigue has come back a little bit. Mostly in the middle of the day and around 8:30 at night. But it's no biggie.
Total weight gain: About 5 pounds.
Sleep: Sleep is okay since I got my Snoogle, but I wouldn't say it's 100%. It's about 90%. I'm sure that's the best I'm going to get in the next 5 months...or 25 months???
Food aversions: I still have a slight aversion to all of the foods I loved before (minus sushi).
Cravings: I'm LOVING fries, gravy and malt vinegar. Or just fries and ketchup if I'm not going to be fancy. I know this craving is bad news bears so I try not to indulge too much. Like more than 4 times a week...I kid, I kid.
Emotions: Happy, excited. I am just a really happy mama.
What do you miss: COFFEE FRAPS & COFFEE FROM TIMMY'S. This deserves to be in caps. I want those things so bad.
Maternity clothes: Yes. Hallelujah. Love maternity pants.
Wedding rings on or off: On.
Boy or girl: I don't know, but I've been really dying to find out. I've still got about a month to go. The wait is brutes. The more I go on, the more I start to get an inkling of girl. Maybe it's because everyone thinks boy and I like to be different? Who knows. Either way, I'm a happy mama. I just want to know already!!!
Next appt: May 27 with midwife. Just lots of bloodwork and peework.
Best moment(s) this past week: Fishing with Dave and my sis-in-law Tara. It was great to be on the water on such an awesome day. I caught two fish, too! But the day tuckered me out and it took about 2-3 days to recover. Spending a full day in the sun and fresh air while pregnant is like getting a hangover when you're old -- recovering is not as easy as it used to be.
What are you looking forward to this week: Weekend and midwife appointment.
